Piedmont Style

A thin vinegar sauce with a light tomato base. Often referred to as a “dip”, this sauce is based off that in Lexington, NC

KC Style

This heavy tomato based sauce is brightened up with a little vinegar, then balanced with brown sugar and molasses. Made famous in Kansas City, MO.

Coastal Style

This is a thin vinegar sauce with no tomato base, spiced with red pepper flakes and hints of lemon. Very tangy, slightly spicy, and thought of to be the original bbq sauce. Eastern NC/SC.
